For the past few weeks I’ve been blogging six days a week. I’m doing this for a few reasons that I thought would be worth sharing with you.
It’s improving my brand.
I want to make sure that when people visit my site they see activity. Hopefully the quantity:quality ratio will make them (and you) want to continue coming back. This is probably my most shallow reason.
It’s stretching me.
Coming up with six post a week is tough… even the Saturday fun videos take time. It’s challenging me to think and to study a little deeper to pull out some thoughts to share.
It’s good practice.
I believe I will Pastor one day. In many respects, my current role as a music pastor is not preparing me for that. Rarely is time spent preparing sermons, honing my preaching skills and there’s not much need for study over-and-above my own personal development. However, this site gives me the opportunity to have an outlet for some of those untapped gifts that aren’t necessary in my day to day work, but still need to be practiced.
It’s a Kingdom opportunity.
I find great joy in giving away anything I pickup. I’m always looking for new and innovative ways to effectively, efficiently and excellently minister. Whenever I stumble upon something, this is a great home base to make it available to others.
I like you.
And I enjoy our time together at jasonmayfield.com
Blessings!
