InteractiveWorshipLive.com has become one of the secret weapons in my arsenal. Most of our readers come to jasonmayfield.com as a result of theĀ Creating Click Tracks Series. I am a proponent of making your own tracks. However, the life of the church music director can quickly become bogged down with video, media, meetings and an assortment of other tasks. That’s where IWL comes in.
I love Bethany. However, this is the first church I’ve ever worked at that left me doing practically NO music. Outside of Sunday and rehearsal, I spend very little time on music. This is something we’re working on, but right now it is what it is.
IWL gives me the opportunity to continue producing a quality program, even when I don’t have time to produce all of my own materials. Using the multi-track versions, I can create my own vocal breakouts/part CDs (assuming they have separate SAT, which not all do), I can also decide how I want to layout all the synth, guitar and percussion tracks. If I don’t like something in the track, I can lay down a brand new track… and I am still doing it in less time than creating from scratch.
The cost is minimal to me… as a matter of fact it’s cheaper per song than when I make my own. (contracting musicians)
One thing that would make this service complete (in my opinion) would be offering rhythm charts with the tracks… but again, doing my own charts is still being done in less “total” time.
I would strongly urge you to invest in IWL. It’s perfect for someone wanting to get started with tracks and also for those who use tracks but are in a time crunch… relieve yourself and grab some IWL.
Blessings!
