I love WordPress. This is no secret. A few years ago I made the decision to stop using WP stickily for my blog, but as a content manager. This is a decision I have yet to regret.
One of the great things about WP is the plugins. Just about everything you could need is already available and ready to use. I thought I’d share a few of my favorites.
WP to Twitter
This plugin update Twitter whenever you update your site. You can set the parameters to update when you do certain things to the site including: new posts, new pages or even edits.
WP e-Commerce
A great online store solution. This plugin DOES work with PayPal. It will also set up your “essential online store pages.”
Editorial Calendar
This is a new one for me… but I like it so much it actually inspired this post.
This calendar appears in your “Posts” tab and allows you to see, in calendar format, when you have blogs posted, with an “add new” feature on each day. Great for a daily blogger.
Simple Google Analytics
This made Google Analytics super simple for me. I have enjoyed being able to track my statistics.
Contact Form 7
After changing email address a dozen times, you’ll understand the importance of the contact form. This has kept me on one account for a while… also looks really sharp. If this was easier to use, it would be a candy bar.
Really Simple CAPTCHA
The key to Contact Form 7′s success. CAPTCHA creates a key that must be entered before messages can be submitted. Keeps those little pesky spam bots OUT!
Go design a website! Blessings.
