The Pomodoro Technique

A few weeks ago I started implementing a new system to keep myself more focused and more productive. It’s called the Pomodoro Technique.. yeah the tomato timer. I first learned about it on MichaelHyatt’s blog.

This technique has greatly improved my efficiency… here’s the basics on how it works.

1. Set the timer for 25 minutes and work on one or similar projects.

2. Take a break after every 25 minute session… a recommended 5 minutes, then 20 minutes after every fourth session.

Also… you can use a tomato timer… but there are also apps available. As a matter of fact, in the Apple App Store you can find an app that is built for this technique… and I happen to use it!
