John4:1 Therefore when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John 2 (although Jesus Himself was not baptizing, but His disciples were),
“Discipleship doesn’t happen in a class, but by them being with us.” – Jason Mayfield
I am thoroughly convinced that discipleship is experienced hands on, sometimes dangerously hands on.
Jesus knew this. He was Jesus… you think you’re the only one who can do your job as well as you? Jesus was God in the flesh… literally no one could do it as good as Him… but he still had the disciples do the work.
We have a great opportunity to marry our greatest need with people’s greatest need. Discipleship through ministry involvement.
This week, why don’t you think of a few people to invite into the office throughout the week to help you accomplish your task. Let them have a close personal working relationship with you. Teach them a tool and teach them how to be like you as you are like Christ.
Blessings!
