Spotify is one of newest app additions. It runs on Mac OSX.

Basically, it’s like Pandora meets iTunes. You can stream free music, but you choose the actual songs. NOT a genre or artist. Complete control of completely free music. It’s really incredible.

How am I using it? Well, you know I’m going back to bass… so I’ve been sight reading out of a Real Book and using Spotify to play the songs. Not to mention, there’s just tons of music I don’t own that I want to hear.

Great app… the quality of the stream is better than some of the mp3′s I’ve gotten from LegalSounds.

If you have tons of money then you should stick with iTunes. If not… Spotify.

(There is a paid version that will allow you to use Spotify on your iPhone as well.)
