No Pleasing Man

Galatians 1:10 ”For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.”

Jesus spoke of serving two masters… I believe He was speaking in terms of God and Satan…

However, let me break the bondage today… sometimes you can’t serve God and Bro. Cleophus either. You can’t please everyone… but you can commit yourself to the will of God. The other great news is that when you fail God, He extends His grace… Bro. Cleophus will just make your life even worse.

Forget trying to please man, fit in, win approval. Seek God, do His will… and He’s got your back.

Leaders should lead… where God leads them.

Go do it!

Blessings!

  1. I’ve always believed that we seek to please the most those whom we fear the most. The man-pleasing spirit is a symptom of fear. When we know our identity is in Christ, we care not what other’s think about us, thus eliminating the source of the man-pleasing spirit!

    • Thanks Tony! I will say that you have been a voice that has helped me to remember who I am in Christ… and that pleasing man is an insatiable task.

Y’all go check out Tony’s site… he is a major voice in my life.
