Designed Flawed

For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
(Romans 8:20-21 ESV)

As bizarre as it sounds, God created you to NOT be perfect.

This is a hard pill to swallow when we are so ofter taught to seek perfection. (Matt 5:48) But I’m starting to see that God doesn’t call us to right living so He’ll like us… He calls us to right living so we can be blessed. And at the risk of sounding tele-evangelist… He wants to improve our quality of life through His instruction. (Romans 8:28)

So, God designed us as flawed individuals. Was this to make us stress in trying to do right? Goodness no! But because God “in hope” wanted us to rely on Him for our freedom from the bondage caused by our inability to do all the right things.

God is bringing us to the end of ourselves so we can start to walk in Christ!

Praise God that He made us flawed so He could pay the way for us through Jesus!

God’s doing it… let him!
