Approach

My personal approach to ministry can be summed-up in a few axioms.

Great Services. Great Connection.

This is the “core idea” of my approach to music ministry.
By creating great services we’re allowing people to be exposed to the Gospel presentation and the presence of the Lord in the most engaging way and the least distracting.

We’re creating great connection by allowing people to come together for rehearsals where they work (and play) together [connecting to each other]. In those rehearsals, where anyone is welcome, I always take time to re-emphasis the vision of the church [connecting to the church]. And in both rehearsals we encourage everyone to open their hearts and worship the Lord [connecting to God].

Effective. Efficient. Excellent.

These three words have become the sounding board for every idea and initiative we’ve attempted in our ministry. The three aspects must work together.

Everything must be effective. If something is ineffective, there is no point in doing it.

Everything must be done as efficiently as possible. Our work moves in seasons… seasons that are commonly only seven days long. We must be able to pull off an idea without exhausting all of our resources, time and energy.

Everything, lastly, must be done in excellence. Excellence is something very few people can identify, but something that subtly inspires them. Excellence makes the lasting impression.

Carry the scent of your Senior Pastor.

It is a main priority to not only represent my senior pastor, but to many people be the extension of the senior pastor to them.

When people are around me, they need to smell the vision, philosophy and spirit of my senior pastor. We work hard to make sure that when people are around us, they feel like they’ve been around him.
